Collaborations

From Concept to Execution

With over six years working in fine architectural metal, Rafael developed advanced expertise in shop drawings, 3D modeling, and fabrication coordination for custom-built elements.

His work translates spatial concepts into precise technical documentation — ensuring that proportion, structure, and material intent are executed at the highest level of craftsmanship.

Small Custom Projects

Not every project requires a full transformation.
Small, custom interventions are designed and fabricated with the same level of care, addressing specific needs within tight budgets. From handrails to tailored elements, these pieces bring clarity, function, and intention to everyday spaces.

Custom Objects

Alongside his spatial practice, Rafael develops custom architectural objects rooted in geometry and material expression.
They can exist as independent works or become integral elements within a larger spatial composition.

A B O U T

R. Roman Interiors is grounded in a simple belief.

A meaningful life depends on the environments that hold it. Light, air, and a connection to nature bring clarity and freedom to everyday life. These environments also exist for relationship. They are places where people gather, rest, and share time with one another. True beauty does not come from ambition or status. It emerges from balance, intention, and the quiet presence of well-made things. Design is therefore an act of creation. Through space, material, and craft, each project seeks to bring a new beauty into daily life. Trained and practicing as an architect in Chile, I came to interiors as a natural extension of architecture. It became a more intimate way to shape how people live, move, and gather within space. Years of work across architecture and fabrication deepened my interest in the full spectrum of design, from spatial planning to custom elements and objects. I approach placemaking as a holistic process where structure, material, light, and detail come together to create environments that carry meaning. Today my work focuses on residential interiors, places of practice, and custom architectural elements. These are projects where technical clarity and atmosphere must coexist. I work independently and collaborate with contractors, fabricators, and architects when needed. This structure allows for direct communication, thoughtful coordination, and alignment throughout the design process.

  • Every project begins with understanding the space and the people who use it.

Through spatial study, material exploration, and 3D visualization, concepts are developed with clarity before construction begins.

Technical coordination — including drawings, modeling, and collaboration with contractors or fabricators — ensures that design intent translates accurately into built form.

The goal is alignment: between vision and execution, aesthetics and structure, concept and reality

  • Homeowners and small business owners seeking thoughtful planning, strong layouts, and clarity in design and construction coordination.

Contractors and builders who value precise drawings, 3D modeling, and well-developed layouts that translate clearly to the job site.

Architectural offices and fabrication teams requiring interior development, custom elements, and detailed shop drawings that maintain design integrity through execution.
